The Bucyrus Football Team and Cheerleaders are hosting flag football and youth
cheerleading for any student entering kindergarten through fifth grade. The cost of camp is $25 per person or $45 for two family members. Checks can be made payable to the Bucyrus Athletic Boosters. Football players and cheerleaders will receive t-shirts for the season, and will also receive free entry into the varsity football game against Mohawk on September 23. Football players will be introduced prior to the start of the game, and cheerleaders will cheer during the first quarter of the contest.
Flag football games will take place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on the following dates:
- Wednesday, September 7, 2016
- Tuesday, September 13, 2016
- Wednesday, September 14, 2016
- Tuesday, September 20, 2016
- Wednesday, September 21, 2016
“This program is an excellent opportunity for kids to see how much fun sports can be,” Bucyrus Head Football Coach Aaron Eckert said. “It’s a great activity that will allow them to build their skills, learn basic fundamentals, and develop positive mentorships with the high school athletes.”
Parents interested in having their child participate must sign a consent form as well as provide the following information:
- Player’s Name
- Current Grade
- City, State, Zip
- Phone Number
- Emergency Contact Number
- Parents’/Guardians’ Name
- Signature of Parents/Guardians
- T-Shirt Size
To secure a place on a team, all registrations must be accompanied by payment, and all registrations must be received by Wednesday, September 7. Registration forms are available on the district website, www.bucyrusschools.org, under the “Extra- Curriculars” tab.
