Bucyrus students recognized during Board of Education meeting Oct. 22

The Bucyrus City School District Board of Education has made a point to recognize students for their outstanding accomplishments during regular monthly meetings. The October regular board meeting was no exception with more than twenty students being recognized with Board Commendations Oct. 22.

Three Middle School students received commendations for outstanding effort during the start of the 2015- 2016 school year. These students included Aden Holmes (6th grade), Ashley Davis (6th grade) and Chelsie Taylor (7th grade).

Members of the Middle School Girls Cross Country team were recognized for winning the 2015 Crawford County Middle School Cross Country Meet. Students receiving commendations included Amadia Aguirre, Alexxus Fannin, Makyla Ferris, McKayla Hedrick, Aaliyah Lester, Taylor Myers, Taylor Patterson, Sarah Scott, Maryann Stander, Hayli Stoffer, Kaitlin Vaughn and Morgan Young.

The final group of students receiving commendations was members of the High School Girls Cross Country team for winning the 2015 Crawford County High School Cross Country Meet. Students receiving commendations included Brandi Butler, Jessica Campbell, Shaylee Campbell, Amber Harper, Desiree Sigler, Kayleigh Seiber, Julia Van Voorhis, Mirium Everett, Lauren Kohler, Madalynn Schifer and Kristen Vaughn.

“We have great students doing amazing work in and out of the classroom,” Bucyrus Superintendent Kevin Kimmel said. “It’s important we honor these students publicly for their accomplishments because it shows them how proud we are of them for all their hard work and dedication.”
