The Bucyrus Bowling Club is looking for students to join its ranks. The club will host its annual organizational meeting and kickoff party at 3:40 p.m. at Suburban Lanes Tuesday, Oct. 18.

The Bucyrus Bowling Club is open to all students in grades 9-12, and any level of bowling experience is more than welcome to join the club. Last year, the Bucyrus club joined with the Colonel Crawford and Wynford Bowling clubs to allow students to bowl against students from other schools each week.

“The kids seemed to really enjoy the combined clubs last year,” said Diane Kaple, Bucyrus Bowling Club advisor. “They like competing with other schools weekly instead of just at the county tournament.”

The bowling club season includes 12 weeks of league play, and culminates with the county tournament the first week of February. The total cost to join the Bucyrus Bowling Club is $60 and can be paid weekly.

“I am looking for individual students or full teams,” said Kaple. “Students can sign up for Bowling Club in the High School office or just attend the organizational meeting and kickoff party at Suburban Lanes Oct. 18.”
