Welcome to the Bucyrus City Schools
Welcome to the Bucyrus City School District website. This site is designed and constantly monitored to insure that it is user friendly, informative, and that the information is current.
Bucyrus is a city school district and county seat serving 1,700 students from pre-school through 12th grade. Given our commitment to a first class education that prepares students for a global economy, the students of the Bucyrus City School District enjoy an outstanding array of educational opportunities. We believe that education is a life-long process; therefore, programs such as gifted education, career-technical, honors, and dual enrollment post-secondary opportunities are seamlessly integrated into each student's course of study.
Our students have the opportunity to select from the many Career Technical Programs and College Tech Prep Programs offered at Pioneer Career and Technology Center, and the full complement of College Prep and Honors-level Courses offered at Bucyrus High School. Given our articulation agreements with North Central State College, Marion Tech, OSU-Mansfield and our relationships with other area post-secondary institutions, many Bucyrus High School students graduate with post-secondary credits and therefore save time and money, some even have the opportunity to graduate with an associate's degree and high school diploma simultaneously.
We also believe that students benefit greatly by participating in co/extra-curricular activities. As such, Bucyrus High School offers a full complement of opportunities that include: academic clubs, athletics, music, student government, etc. We are quite proud of all of our programs.
Behind all of these incredible opportunities is a caring and dedicated staff. We believe that by incorporating the themes of rigor, relevance, and responsibility into our team approach to education, we provide outstanding educational opportunities for each and every Bucyrus City School District student.
