Bucyrus After-School Programs

Study after study has shown that a quality after-school program can be a tremendous benefit to students. By receiving two separate 21st Century Community Learning Center Grants, the Bucyrus City School District is able to provide outstanding after school programming at both Bucyrus Elementary School and Bucyrus Secondary School.

Students will receive a nutritious snack, academic intervention, character education and homework assistance. Participants will also be invited to partake in an array of field trips and family engagement activities.

There is no cost to any student or their families to participate in our program since all expenses are paid through our 21st Century Grant. Working together with parents, students, and classroom teachers we can make sure that students in our program will have the B.E.S.T.opportunity to succeed in school.

The Bucyrus Elementary B.E.S.T. After-School program is available from 3:20 p.m. to 5:35 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the Elementary School, while the Secondary School After-School Program is available from 3:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the Secondary School.
